Proof, if any proof were indeed needed, that the French were first, as usual, with mobile Camembert-fuelled laptop computing. Here we see wacky French boffin Dr Les Ordinateur, trialling an early prototype. Aged Camembert is being placed in the left-hand basket and the residue recycled from the right. The obvious design flaw of having the screen at the front of the vehicule and the keyboard under the nifty canvas cover was, of course, corrected in later models. Dr Ordinateur sadly died from Camembert poisoning.
